Love bookish lists?  Check out Top 10 Tuesday hosted by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl!

Happy almost Valentine’s Day, folks!  Now, I’ll be honest that my favorite part of Valentine’s Day are those candy hearts with the silly messages, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t at least do a little celebrating on the good ole’ blog.  I mean, 90% of the books I read ARE romances, so imagine my dismay that I’ve never combined my love of 1) lists and 2) romance novels and made a list of my Top 10 Romance Novels of All Time.

*Update:  Do you know how hard it is to write a list of Top 10 Romance novels of all time? This list has been narrowed down to my Top 10 Contemporary Romances of all time to preserve my sanity.  Oh!  And I’m putting these in no particular order because that’s just too gosh darn hard.  One more thing! I get to count entire series as one book because well, my list = my rules 🙂

  • Tapping the Billionaire by Max Monroe – Romantic Comedy at its finest
  • Pretend Your Mine  by Lucy Score – Small Town romance with Military Hero
  • The Hating Game by Sally Thorne – Enemies-to-Lovers Office romance
  • Pucked by Helena Hunting – HILARIOUS Hockey romance
  • First Touch and Last Kiss by Laurelin Paige – Semi-Angsty romance where Heroine is searching for missing best friend

  • Beauty and the Moustache by Penny Reid – Super funny small town romance
  • Driven, Fueled, and Crashed by K. Bromberg – Race Car romance.  ZOOM!
  • Beautiful Bastard by Christina Lauren – another Enemies-to-Lovers Office romance
  • The Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle – Rockstar romance
  • Love Unscripted and Love Unrehearsed by Tina Reber – Holly Heartthrob romance

What are some of your all-time favorite romances books?  let me know in the comments below!

Keep an eye out for Tapping the Billionaire – sometimes it goes for free on Amazon! Also, Beautiful Bastard was a stay-up-and-read all night book for me. One of my all-time favorite romances! 🙂

  1. Great post! I’ve been on a romance novel binge for the past month and have been looking for recommendations! I haven’t read any of these, so I’ll be looking them up and most likely going on my TBR. I’ve seen Tapping the Billionaire and Beautiful Bastard everywhere on Goodreads. Must be really good! (Sorry if I double posted, I wasn’t sure if my other comment went through!)

The only one I’ve read is The Hating Game, but it wasn’t for me! I really want to read Beautiful Bastard! Maybe I’ll like their office romance, lol.

Favorite romances… hmm. I really liked the Stage Dive series by Kylie Scott. Rockstar romance!

I read the first book in the Stage Dive series last summer and really liked it! Not sure what you enjoy in romance books, but Beautiful Bastard felt a little less “cute” than The Hating Game, but I definitely wouldn’t call it a “dark” romance. (I’m realizing that’s a completely unhelpful statement)

Totally get it! I typically enjoy romance, but trying a few new genre’s this year to see if I can find some new reading interests 🙂 Right now I’m on a Sci-Fi kick!

  3. I love that Gif! Sleepless in Seattle remains one of my fave movies, but that’s from You’ve got Mail? I think those two are my fave romances! Which is good, because I don’t have a fave contemporary romance 🙂

    • Mallory

I’m not sure what movie it’s from, but You’ve Got Mail is probably my fave romance! We’re kind of like twins? 🙂

Oh I feel the struggle for sure. I haven’t heard of these ones before but knowing how much you struggled to pick ten I will have to look at them more carefully and add some to my TBR 🙂

    • Mallory

Oh yes – why did I think it was a good idea to just try and pick 10 favorite books? 🙂 My TBR is going out of control this week with all the Valentines Day related posts 🙂

  5. I feel your pain re: picking and then ranking any kind of books! But I’ve been seeing Beautiful Bastard around a lot lately and it makes me want to read it now.

Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thanks!

Beautiful Bastard is one of my faves, and I’ve really enjoyed most of Christina Lauren’s books. She’s (they’re) one of my faves!

I love the Driven Series, except it set a super-high bar for me with the rest of K’s books and they just haven’t lived up to Driven 🙂 Either way, it’s a really good series!

I actually liked Pucked more than Shacking Up (although both were great!). 🙂 I remember laughing a little more with Pucked, and it felt a little more Romantic Comedy. Also check-out Hooking Up if you liked Shacking Up!
