This Year’s Holiday Romance TBR

Posted November 28, 2017 by Mallory in Bookish Things, Top 10 Tuesday / 13 Comments

I love lists, so what could be better than a weekly meme dedicated to them? Top 10 Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish – visit their page for more wonderful lists.

Call it my Christmas-vice, but I love a good Holiday Romance and the cheesier, the better! I As long as there is mistletoe and hot cocoa you can count me in, so this week’s Top 10 Tuesday theme sounded like the perfect opportunity to share some of the super-duper sappy Holiday Romances on my TBR this year.

Books of Christmas Present – 2017 Releases

A Very Merry Princess – Susan Mallery:  Princess Bethany travels to California in disguised as a stablehand to deliver a stallion.  She falls for the ranch owner along the way – this one just sounds so cheesy that it’s gotta be good!

An Ex for Christmas – Lauren Lane:  Kelly Byrne starts looking-up her ex-boyfriend upon a psychic’s advice that she’s already met the love of her life.  Little does she realize her best friend has the hots for her.  Love the cover for this one!

Chasing Christmas Eve – Jill Shalvis: YA Fantasy Author Colbie is on vacation to SanFrancisco when she falls for local Spencer Baldwin.  I love the tagline of “Two Weeks to Make the Christmas Last a Lifetime.”  Awww….

Christmastime Cowboy – Maisey Yates: A Second chance romance between a rancher and winery owner.  Cowboys and Wine?  Sounds like a winner to me!

Dashing Through the Snow – Debbie Macomber: Two strangers trying to make it home to Seattle for Christmas find themselves snowed-in in California.  The two rent a car and start to find love along the way.  This really sounds like Christmas Gold.

Tangled Up in Tinsel – Terry Candis: Chef Parker Kinkaid hires Gabriella Montani to work at his new restaurant.  Sounds like a great holiday, foodie romance!

Books of Christmas Past

All I Want for Christmas is a Vampire – Kerrelyn Sparks:  Toni’s best friend is placed in a mental hospital after telling police she was attached as a vampire.  Toni set’s out to prove that vampires DO exist (vs. Santa Claus).

A Wallflower Christmas – Lisa Kleypas:  Not sure why it took me so long to discover the Wallflowers series, but I’ve been itching to jump into this Holiday edition.

By Any Other Name – Candace Camp: Rylla Campbell goes undercover as a young man to rescue her brother from a gaming hall.  Everything goes well until she’s caught by Lord Gregory Rose. I love Candace Camp am anxious to jump into this Christmas novella.

The Trouble with Mistletoe – Jill Shalvis:  A cute sounding second-chance romance between a Pet Shop owner and the man who broke her heart in high school.  Can’t help but love some puppies and cocoa!

what holiday books are you looking forward to this year?  Any can’t-miss guilty pleasure reads?

Thanks, Renee! Though you would approve 🙂 I’m totally hoping that Susan Mallery book comes through from the library, but it looks more novella length – I know I’m going to be wishing for more!

  1. Thank you for sharing, Mallory. They all look awesome. They’ve been recommended to me, too. Glad that the are in your list. I hope you enjoy them if you haven’t read yet. 😁❤️❤️❤️

Thanks, Geybie! I haven’t read any of these yet, but I’ve been checking other reviews and they all look so highly recommended… the difficult part will be figuring out which ones I have time for before Christmas 🙂

      (P.S. – hope you’re enjoying your trip!!)

Thanks, Samantha! I haven’t checked any of these out yet – gotta figure out where to start 🙂

I’ve never tried any of Macomber’s books before, but I like the road trip angle. Sparks is also a new-to-me author. I feel like I’ve seen her books around for a while, but have never picked one up before. I hear they’re pretty funny though? Also sounds nice to break-up the Holiday reads with something a little more paranormal in nature 🙂

  2. I don’t know why I didn’t think to make a Christmas TBR for this lol. I am participating in the 12 Books of Christmas challenge and it looks like you would rock that one! I have a few Christmas books on my list but really need to increase my collection if I want to get in the Christmas spirit-bookwise. Good luck with your list 🙂

Haha – I was looking for an excuse to publish my Christmas TBR! I feel like finding a good Christmas book is always a struggle for me, so I’d been quietly adding them to my Goodreads shelves all year 🙂 I’m proud that it’s December and I have an idea of what I’m going to read. Good luck with 12 Books of Christmas! I’m a little newish to the blog-iverse and told myself I have to wait until 2018 to take on challenges – I tend to overwhelm myself pretty quickly 🙂

  3. If this is a duplicate, sorry. My first comment didn’t go through. Good luck with your TBR! It looks like you would fit in perfectly with the 12 Books of Christmas challenge I am particpating in lol. New follower 🙂
